Spending the day with your ex-husband's fiancée can prove to be a very trying, awkward and possibly upsetting situation.
Especially when the fiancée in question was the reason your husband left you in the first place.
So spare a thought for Brandi Granville, who was forced to spend the day with LeAnn Rimes, the country singer who had an affair - and is now engaged to - her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian.
The two ladies were snapped at a birthday party for Brandi's four-year-old son Jake, her youngest of two boys she had with Cibrian.
And although it seemed as though everyone was having a good time, the tension was palpable as they gathered round Jake and his friends at the party at children's game centre Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday.
As LeAnn, 28, and Cibrain, 37, snapped away taking pictures on their iPhones, Brandi, 38, stood over her son as he blew out the candles on his cake.
She looked very pretty in her salmon pink maxi dress but the forced smile on her face was all too clear to see.
She also looked awkward as LeAnn sat next to her as they and the the children tucked into slices of pizza, turning her head away from her love rival.
And as she sat outside with her two boys - displaying a plaster cast on her left foot - LeAnn appeared to walk straight past her as she left the restaurant.
LeAnn got engaged to Cibrian just after Christmas last year after they began an affair during the filming of their movie Northern Lights in 2009.
At the time Cibrian was still married to Brandi and LeAnn was married to her husband of eight years, backup dancer Dean Sheremet.
Last week, Brandi and LeAnn appeared to have ended their feud via their Twitter pages.
Rimes wrote a statement - which was reTweeted by Brandi: 'As a collective unit, Brandi and I would like all negativity to cease toward one another.
'We have communicated and have a direct understanding that we are only ourselves on Twitter and have no other accounts that try to destroy one another.
'Please for our families' sake stop the hate now and let us live our lives. We don't need opinions or outside help in order for that to happen.'
However, despite Brandi's support, it appeared all was not well on Saturday especially when she Tweeted LeAnn and said: 'Just saw Jake's entire bday party documented on-line! Oh well at least Jake had fun, we all got along and it was a great day!!
'Obviously next kids party we do at a a private home and say no cameras! Jake had fun and thats all that matters!Im happy if he is happy!'
LeAnn replied: 'what? How did that happen? Nice, people w/ camera phones these days. Nothing is private anymore.'

One big, er, happy family? Standing to the left of her fiancé Eddie Cibrian, LeAnn Rimes snaps pictures of his son Jake who was celebrating his fourth birthday, as his ex-wife Brandi looks awkwardly on

Couldn't you have sat somewhere else? An uncomfortable-looking Brandi turns her head away as LeAnn Rimes, who looked like she didn't have a care in the world laughs next to her

Me and my boys: Brandi soon cheered up as she cuddled up to sons Jake and Mason as they enjoyed his birthday party

Resting up: Taking a break from hobbling on crutches, Brandi played with her BlackBerry, seemingly oblivious to LeAnn behind her
