'Call now to vote for Jennifer's legs': J-Lo left red faced after getting 'wheeled out' midway through American Idol performance

Miley Cyrus makes surprise appearance as guest mentor

Scotty McCreery back on top after disappointing performance last week

One of the most beautiful women in the world turned into one of the most shy last night when she was serenaded on American Idol.

Judge Jennifer Lopez was left dazed and confused when she became the subject of the admiring dance moves and vocal chords of rival contestants James Durbin and Jacob Lusk.
It was duet week on the hit talent show and judge Jennifer clearly had no idea she was about to become part of the next act when James and Jacob took to the stage.

Up close and personal: Jacob (left) and James flirt with Lopez, admitting getting close to her was the main aim of their routine

The rival male contestants begrudgingly paired up to sing the Carole King hit I'm Into Something Good, but quickly started to enjoy singing together when they decided to swoop in on Jennifer and spin her around in her chair.

Jennifer was clearly caught off guard and looked a little embarrassed to have become part of the act.

With her legs flying in the air, the studio audience also got an eyeful as she was pulled away from the judges' table.

Easy does it: They got down on their knees to sing to the blushing celebrity judge, crooning: 'She's everything I'm dreaming of," from the Carole King hit, I'm Into Something Good

Moving in: The cheeky pair make a play for J-Lo as she was sat watching their rendition

After the performance, the show’s host, Ryan Seacrest joked: ‘Ok If you'd like to vote for Jennifer's legs, call...’

But their impromptu serenade on Jennifer failed to win the praise of the other judges, with Steve Tyler asking: ‘Men, where were you going with all that?’

One contestant who did win over the judges was Scotty McCreedy.

Laughing it off: Afterwards host Ryan Seacrest joked that viewers could call to 'vote for Jennifer's legs'

Head in hands: Ryan Seacrest's comments left Jennifer Lopez hiding behind her own hand
After a poor performance the previous week, the deep voiced 17-year-old won back the judges’ approval with his smooth rendition of You've Got a Friend.

The country crooner even impressed Tyler, who has in the past suggested that McCreery cannot hold a note.
But this week, the Aerosmith frontman praised him for picking ‘just the right song’.

The biggest statement of the evening came from judge Randy Jackson when he proclaimed that James Durbin could win this year’s show.

Guest mentor: Miley Cyrus made a surprise appearance on the show and gave her advice to Lauren Alaina

Surprise guest: Hopeful Lauren Alaina looked delighted when she came face to face with her real life idol
On hearing James’s solo performance of Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Randy said: ‘He just might win the whole thing.’

Tyler seemed equally as taken with Haley Reinhart’s rendition of Beautiful. On hearing the 20-year-old’s performance, the Aerosmith font man gushed that he 'just saw God'.

Teen singing sensation, Miley Cyrus made a guest appearance as a surprise mentor to 16-year-old Lauren Alaina.

Sweet song: Lauren sings to Bret, who she brought up on stage during her performance last night

Teen idol: Lauren, 16, is joined on stage by audience member Bret, 19, who Seacrest jokingly warned off her
The 7 Things singer was on hand to give her support and advice in advance of Lauren’s rendition of Where You Lead.
On meeting her own real life idol, Lauren excitedly told Miley: ‘I listen to your music all the time. You're awesome!’
Before getting on stage, Lauren gushed: ‘She [Miley] was so nice and she gave me such great advice.’

Emotional: Lauren gets a little tearful as Randy Jackson praises her performance of Where You Lead

Ground breaking: Haley Reinhart and Casey Abrams perform I Feel The Earth Move for duet week
Her performance won the praise of the studio audience, with a boy called Bret being invited on stage to join her.
The show’s host, Ryan Seacrest, later congratulated the lucky boy and playfully joked: ‘Bret, how old are you? We have rules, ok?’
Judge Randy Jackson was also quite taken by Lauren’s performance and added: 'I don't know if I love the song, but what I did love is that you came up there with a vengeance.'
