Getting a night off to go out and enjoy some time together can be a rare thing for new parents.
So understandably, James Corden relished the opportunity for his and fiancée Julia Carey's first 'date night' since they welcomed baby son Max on March 22.
The couple joined a host of other celebrities to watch singer Adele in concert last night at the O2 Shepherd's Bush.
The funnyman, 32, tweeted his excitement about the rare parents night out. He wrote on his Twitter feed: 'Me and the missus are on our first 'date' night since the baby. I'm taking her to see Adele. #cannotwait!!!'
James added comically: 'I mean in concert! Not just to go and look at her through her window!'
James and Julia arrived at the venue hand in hand, with new mother Julia, 31, looking stylish in black skinny jeans, heels, loose white top and short-sleeve black jacket.
They rubbed shoulders with fellow attendees Paloma Faith, Mark Ronson, Will Young and Allan Carr, who all turned out to watch Adele perform.
The night appeared to be a great success, with the Gavin & Stacey star writing on Twitter later on: 'An incredible night.'
Of course, while it was their first night on the town together since Max arrived, James has already been out to wet the baby's head in spectacular style earlier this month.
He was pictured at London's notorious new nightclub The Box with fellow celebrity father Kevin Pietersen, where they stayed until the early hours.
Corden also attended the Children's Champions Awards a week after Max's birth.
But other than the odd night out, James has been savouring the time at home with his new addition.
Earlier this month he tweeted: 'This whole staying in with the family stuff is fantastic! Push the button, and after the feed we'll watch The Social Network. Lushtimes!'
And he is also busy with work. In addition to the new season of A League Of Their Own and writing his autobiography, Corden is currently in rehearsals for new play One Man, Two Guvnors, which opens at The National in London next month.
