When The Only Way Is Essex first hit our screens last year, there were many who weren't sure of it's potential to be a successful show.
But now, after two hugely popular seasons and a third in the pipeline, TOWIE is one of the most talked-about programmes on television.
So when E4 launched Made In Chelsea earlier this month, it was expected it would follow in the footsteps of the Essex-based reality show - but it attracted shocking reviews and poor ratings.

Twitter war: Made In Chelsea's Caggie Dunlop and The Only Way Is Essex's Amy Childs have started a Twitter war
And while there is room for both shows on our screen, Made In Chelsea star Caggie Dunlop and The Only Way Is Essex's Amy Childs have embarked on a war of words of social networking site Twitter.
It all started when Made In Chelsea premiered on E4 and various members of the TOWIE cast took to their Twitter pages to criticise the show.
Then Amy slated Made In Chelsea in her column in new! magazine this week, labelling it 'a pile of rubbish'.
She wrote: 'I didn’t warm to any of the characters at all and thought they were all very posh. I reckon they could all do with a spray tan, some fake eyelashes and a vajazzle!'

Out and about: Amy and TOWIE co-star Harry Derbidge went out in London last night, before Amy's Twitter arguments with Caggie began

'Well jel!' Caggie criticised Amy for calling her jealous using the Essex word 'jel', saying it's not in the English dictionary
But Amy's comments didn't go down too well with Chelsea socialite Caggie, who took to her Twitter page this morning to voice her opinions.
She wrote: 'Just seen @MissAmyChilds comments on us. She says we need a vajazzle. Darling, at least my vajazzle will have real diamonds!!'
Caggie then added: 'It's us against the Essex crew, the 'haves' vs the 'chavs' #madinchelsea.'
To which Amy replied: 'Haha, people are getting jel!'

Screen stars: Caggie's show Made In Chelsea had a pretty underwhelming reception when it started on E4 earlier this month

They need vajazzles: Amy said the E4 show would be livened up with fake tans and vajazzles
But it wasn't only Amy who took offense to Caggie's comments, as Lydia Bright also wrote on her Twitter she was unimpressed with the war of words.
Retweeting Caggie's comments, Lydia tweeted: 'Now that's not nice unfair and uncalled for >> "@CaggieDunlop: It's us against the Essex crew, the 'haves' vs the 'chavs' #madinchelsea.'
Caggie then attempted to backtrack on her comments, writing: 'I'm only joshing about the 'chavs', we all love the Essex crew here, especially @HarryDerbidge.

She later added: 'Just to be clear, I do not hate the Essex guys. I Just thought @MissAmyChilds was out of order saying we needed fake tan and vajazzles.
'Last night @MissAmyChilds said I was 'well jel'. What language is that? Today @LydiaRoseBright says I'm out of order. Why ganging up?'
Caggie continued: '@MissAmyChilds there is no such word as 'Jel' in the Oxford English Dictionary. Is Essex a different country then?'
Things then started to get even nastier when Caggie tweeted an Essex girl joke, presumably for Amy's benefit.
She wrote: 'How does an Essex girl turn off the light after sex? She closes the car door.'
